Major duties & responsibilities

Do you want to innovate in the digital space? Play a part in the evolution of a brand?Change the way brands utilize their digital real-estate?
Designers play a large role in social media mainly because audiences demand more real-time and interactive content. The space to develop visually appealing content such as ads, memes, banners and other imagery has grown dramatically over the past decade.
As Lead Designer at PinkCilantro your primary responsibility will be to develop and produce creative campaigns, real time content and maintaining client’s site’s content/user experience. You’ll work closely with copywriters to deliver a final product that’s not only well designed, but on message and effective.

The candidate must be a strong conceptual thinker who can come up
withcreative ways to deliver a message.

  • Works well in a varied environment, and can create multiple types of content (one day a food photoshoot, another a stop motion film, the next a contest, etc.) • Understands that much of what they make needs to inspire our clients customers to action (engagement, contest entry, etc.)
  • Can work well with a fast moving team of creatives, community managers, and strategists.
  • Has a strong grasp of what it takes to produce content for social, from content calendaring, to optimization, to crisis management.
  • Is familiar with behavioral distinctiveness and unique best practices per social platform, while keeping an eye on overall production efficienc.y
  • Passionate about both micro/day-to-day concepts and macro/fully-integrated campaign concepts.
  • Is able to articulate their creative rationale and choices in a way that our clients and internal teams can understand.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive social media and digital campaigns and presenting those strategies to clients.
  • Receptive to design critique but also able to represent their own work and stand up for design they believe in
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse, talented team.
  • Create impactful and relevant designs for direct-mail, print materials, web ads, emails, and website mockups.
  • Brainstorm and develop concepts based on strategy or content.
  • Track projects and work accurately.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Active, compelling social media presence
  • Ability to handle managing 10-12 projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of consumer-driven marketing/communication programs 3-5 years of professional work experience as a social media content creator or social designer (experience at interactive, advertising, public relations or marketing agency preferred).
  • Expertise in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Must have great photography skills, as well as experience shooting short form videos (GIFs, stop-motion videos, Hyperlapse, Boomerang, Vine.) Bonus if you have animation/AfterEffects skills.
  • Must have the ability to craft assets specific to the social channels including but not limited to; vines, instagram photos, videos, community response copy, etc.
  • Background knowledge of major and emerging social channels, and a true passion for the social media marketing space.
  • Skills that can’t be taught (and are probably the most important): a great editorial eye, strong creative POV and aesthetic, passionate about their work and can eloquently speak to it (and fight for it, when necessary), a natural storyteller, curious and always willing to learn, nimble, scrappy.
  • Other skills: photo retouching, color correcting. video editing, asset management, lighting, planning + scoping photoshoots.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly; keen eye for detail also required.
